Dear Ballerians,

After some feedback from long standing players, we are performing a final round reset of Ballerium on July 21st at 12:00 PM PDT.  Servers should be down for no longer than 1 hour.  We will have the last round's stats and possibly use that as a final www.ballerium.com placeholder on the website.

Again, its been a wonderful game and it has been our pleasure to service the game for you.

It is with much disappointment that we must announce Ballerium will be shutting down its servers for the final time on July 31st 2008. This time the shut down will be planned and permanent. Frankly server stability has been a big issue and plays a large part in our decision. 

 
The Final Round
 
This will be the  final round and will hopefully bring back some old allies and enemies in a final battle for control of Ballerium. Registration will remain open during that time so you can experiment with new accounts and bring in some old friends to help with the capping. Oh, we will no longer be accepting payments as of today. Users that have paid time remaining will be getting an email with instructions on refunds. 
 
Why Are We Shutting Down the Servers?
 
As a team that cares greatly about quality, the game is not where we want it to be on a several levels. We have listened to feedback from community, and due to the limited resources at Majorem, we cannot tackle the tough problems like game stability or introduce game improvements and enhancements.
 
Will Ballerium Be Back?
 
Good question. While this version of Ballerium is winding down, efforts to improve Ballerium will continue with the hopes that the game might find life in a different, more stable form.
 
We are looking for ideas as to what we should do with the site during the upcoming dark period. We’ve opened up a forum topic for further discussions as we love to hear from everyone.  
 
Finally we’d like to thank everyone for their support with Ballerium. Hopefully we’ll find you again on another battlefield soon!

Dear Ballerians,

The game is now back online including the AI servers.  We would like to apologize for the troubles.  We are operating on a skeleton crew due to the holiday weekend, and I was traveling about the country which made it difficult for them to contact me.  We also had a power outage around our area that caused some delay in getting things back on track.

 

As compensation we will be giving all players 10 days of Premium service.  Please give us until tonight to process all of it.  Send in a support ticket if you don't have your Premium by tommorrow.

Dear Ballerians,

  No sooner did we set the new rules to win a round did we get a winner.  Free Radicals has held and appears will hold 75% control of the domination map so we will be declaring them the winners and starting a new round.  We will keep the same rules for the next round as well.

  We will be performing routine maintanence along with a Round Reset on Tuesday May 13th.  This should bring the game down for about an hour.  We are still finalizing the rules for the next round, and you can vote and provide feedback in this thread here www.ballerium.com/forums/1/forum_topics/584

Dear Ballerians,

A clan has reach 51% control of the map.  This means that if things do not change over the next week, we will declare them the winners and start a new round.  We will be keeping a close eye for any changes.

Dear Ballerians,

  We will be performing a Round Reset tomorrow to synch up the AI servers with the game.  The reason the bug occurred was due to the server migration and change in internal IP's.  We do not have any other migrations or moves planned in the future, so this bug should not happen again.

Dear Ballerians.

We are diligently working with Majorem on the current issue.  It is unfortunate that the problem has resurfaced and it has also been quite honestly embarrassing that Sleepy Giant have to make these kinds of announcements.

But in light of the recent issue, we do know that a round reset will fix the issue and may be needed starting of the new week.  We apologize for all those who have built armies, controlled cities, and also to the new players who are learning the game.

We will annouce more and hope to come to a true fix that will cause AI Servers to run into these kinds of issues if in the event of any kind of server maintenance.
